Engineer

Engineers are professionals who apply scientific and mathematical principles to design, build, and maintain a wide range of structures, machines, systems, and devices. They are involved in various fields, such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and software engineering.

Civil engineers focus on designing infrastructure. Civil engineers are, but they focus specifically on buildings. Mechanical engineers analyse and design mechanical systems like machines and engines. Electrical engineers build and maintain electrical equipment. Chemical engineers convert raw materials into more varied, purer products. Software engineers manipulate code to write programs. This list is not exhaustive: there are many other types of engineers.

Engineers typically work in teams, collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and project managers. For example, civil engineers and structural engineers often work together to ensure their projects are of optimal structure quality. Civil engineers create most of the design, and structural engineers work to ensure the structural integrity of the design is in order.
